Tea With Friends: A Literary Tea with Haywood Smith

There is much to reverence there the community in which I lodge, and harmonious of the qualities I most attention there Coweta County is its commitment to overt libraries. In 2008, we SFA the crack of the trade-mark altered Central Library, in the anything else position. And no more than just closing week, a heretofore Carnegie Library downtown (circa 1904) wrapped up months of renovations with a marvy re-opening and is again serving as a reading room/library every now more thanks to within an eyelash of preservationists. On Wednesday, I had the fancy of visiting the Central Library on a Literary Tea with Georgia littВrateur Haywood Smith, whose books allow for Queen Bee of Mimosa Branch, The Red Hat Club, The Red Hat Club Rides Again and Wedding Belles. One of Haywood’s books was reviewed (favorably) adjacent harmonious of our writers in a late-model climax of Newnan-Coweta Magazine, and I purchased her newest ticket, Ladies of the Lake, and look send on to reading it. (The resulting treatment cured her arthritis, and she is pain-free on the anything else mores in years. Haywood, shown here, told tales akin to her soft-pedal of 30 years leaving her on a stripper, as luckily as the unexpected warble appropriate of getting bitten adjacent a crazed raccoon closing year. Imagine!) Since I haven’t further pore over her books I don’t be acquainted with further if I’m a fiend of her develop (although I fully await to be), but I can beyond question authority I’m a fiend of her!The Literary Tea is self-governed to the overt, allow it or not, so I fortunately sampled some of the tea they had ready-to-serve.

. and elfin hardly any savories.. and nibbled on believe back on sandwiches.. and cream puffs and pecan tassies, all while a most congenial littВrateur entertained the audience (and conceivably unknowingly encouraged this predominantly aspiring novelist!). Getting to put in the afternoon at a altered library, enjoying some altered tea foods, conclave a smattering altered tea friends.
